The 12 volt adaptor allows you to power the HD170 Stealth and HD cameras from a vehicle's compatible 12 volt "cigarette lighter" socket. The adaptor draws directly off the onboard power so you don't have to worry about the camera's battery running flat. Turn the camera off, and the camera will charge itself from the 12V source.
